Viscoelastic Testing in Trauma is a TCAA course providing in-depth review of thromboelastography (TEG®) and Thromboelastometry (ROTEM®) testing to improve blood product administration for trauma patients. Estimated completion time: 60 minutes

At the conclusion of this course, the learner should be better able to:
1. Understand the differences between the two common types of testing, Rotational Thromboelastometry and
Thromboelastography
2. Work through examples of various derangements in the coagulation profile and see their manifestations on the test
tracings.
3. Practice ordering the corrective product for the depicted derangement in the coagulation profile
4. Review the limitations of the testing methods
