Description: This webinar will examine critical gaps in U.S. trauma and emergency care systems that contribute to preventable morbidity and mortality, including geographic disparities and trauma center capacity constraints. Participants will be introduced to the concept of a Regional Medical Operations Coordinating Center (RMOCC) and how it differs from traditional transfer center models. The session will outline the core capabilities of an RMOCC, including real-time capacity monitoring, coordinated transfers, prehospital integration, and scalability from daily operations to disaster response, and review current evidence on how regional coordinating centers improve patient distribution and system performance during surge conditions. Objectives:
