Lisa Buckman: Lisa Buckman is currently the Trauma Data Manager at a Level I and three Level III trauma centers for UCHealth Northern Colorado. Previously, she served as the Manager of Trauma Services for UCHealth Greeley Hospital in northern Colorado, a Level III state designated trauma center. Her trauma career started as an Air Force nurse and has continued through roles such as a nurse registrar, trauma nurse clinician, and trauma performance improvement nurse for Level II and III Adult and Pediatric centers. Ms. Buckman serves on the American Trauma Society (ATS) Nurse Leadership Committee, is faculty for the ATS Trauma Program Management Course, and participates in the Society of Trauma Nurses (STN) as both a Mentor Match mentor and a member of the Leadership and Management Skills workgroup within the Performance Improvement Special Interest Group. Ms. Buckman also serves as a Trauma Nurse Reviewer for the state of Colorado.
Kelly Burns: Kelly Burns, RHIA, CSTR Department Database Specialist from Corewell Health West Michigan, formally Spectrum Health. She is the Trauma Registry Coordinator of the centralized registry for Corewell Hesalth West Michigan. In this role she coordinates registry functions for Level I through Level IV centers undergoing ACS verification and State Designation. She is an appointed member of the State of Michigan Trauma Advisory Committee as a content expert related to Trauma Registry functions and have been serving in this capacity for the last 5 years.
Robyn Blust: Robyn Blust is a Senior Trauma Data Analyst with nearly 10 years of experience in healthcare and trauma analytics. She currently works for Banner Health Trauma Services, providing support for 10 Phoenix area trauma centers, focusing on leveraging technology to enhance data quality and reporting, and streamline operational processes. Prior to joining Banner Robyn worked for five years as an Epidemiologist at the Arizona Department of Health Services, Bureau of EMS and Trauma System. She earned her master’s degree in public health from the University of Arizona and has a passion for using data-driven insights to improve healthcare outcomes.
Alexis Vergara: Alexis Vergara works for Banner Health as a Trauma Registry and Data Manager overseeing a centralized registry workforce in the Phoenix, Arizona region that is comprised of ten trauma facilities ranging from level I to level IV. Her mission is to promote and ensure high quality data entry in order to positively impact patient outcomes for Banner Health. Alexis’ passion has always been centered around healthcare as she started her career as a registered nurse in 2006 where she worked in a variety of specialties but spent the majority of her career as an ICU charge nurse in a busy level II trauma center in Colorado Springs. Her accomplishments include completing her Master of Science in Nursing Education degree where she was also selected to be a member of the National Honor Society at Aspen University. Some of her other accomplishments include obtaining certifications such as the Certified Specialist in the Trauma Registry and Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialists as well as presenting a poster at the TQIP National Conference in 2019. As a registry manager, she aims to bridge the gap between clinical practice and trauma registry data entry for her staff through education and professional development. She is also a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. In her personal life, she loves traveling and spending time with her husband and three kids.
