Program Overview
The purpose of this TCAA course, Damage Control Orthopedics (a previous live webinar), is to explore various issues related to clinical assessment, wounds, fractures, inflammation, and early care for orthopedic damage control.

Target Audience: The Trauma healthcare team and other clinical departments

At the conclusion of this course, the learner should be better able to:
1. Recite the history and evolution of damage control orthopedics
2. Describe the goals and protocol for orthopedic damage control

Faculty Presenter: Dr. Paul Choi  

Presenter Bio

Dr. Paul Choi,  graduated from Stanford in 1992 with a degree in Biology, followed by medical school at Washington University of St. Louis. He returned to California for his residency at the University of California San Francisco, then moved to Los Angeles in 2005 for his fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He was also an Air Force veteran.  He practiced at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as an orthopedic surgeon and  is their Director of Hip Preservation. Dr. Choi has since passed and we are grateful for his contributions to the trauma field.
