Description:  Refining your trauma programs recruitment, onboarding, and retention practices for trauma registrars. This session will discuss diverse recruitment strategies to attract a wider range of qualified candidates. As well as explore onboarding outlines to ensure new employees feel prepared, supported, and valued from day one. Lastly, Niki will expand on strategies to improve staff retention, to lead towards increasing employee satisfaction and reducing turnover.

Presenter: Niki Rasnake

Niki Rasnake: 29 years of nursing experience with a diverse background including serving in the USAF for 7 years. Primary focus in leadership, project management, quality and performance improvement initiatives, research, and education. Proven ability to take a project, from its infancy stage and develop into a mature robust and high yield functioning program. Unique ability to manage multiple projects while providing direction and guidance to other professionals to achieve process improvement initiatives through to completion. Passion for education and research that has been highlighted throughout my career both nationally and internationally as evidenced by podium and poster presentations at national conferences and humanitarian missions. Professional goals to include continued research, education, and presentations at national conferences to share best practice initiatives and collaboratives.
