Program Overview
Sentinel Events is a TCAA course (from a previous live webinar) designed to help learners identify and evaluate visible minor injuries in pre-cruising infants due to possible child abuse.

Estimated completion time: 60 minutes

Target Audience: The Trauma healthcare team and other clinical departments

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, the learner should be better able to:
1. Discuss the barriers to identification
2. Review what is a "sentinel event"
3. Review the evaluation for sentinel event

Faculty Presenter: Dr. Arne Graff

Presenter Bio

Dr. Arne Graff is a family medicine doctor in Rochester, Minnesota and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Altru Health System-Grand Forks and Mayo Clinic. He received his medical degree from University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences and has been in practice for more than 20 years. He also has a Fellowship in Child Abuse/Forensic Pediatrics from Lifespan Rhode Island Hospital, Brown University Medical School.
